Mid Suffolk District Council is a member of the Suffolk Flood Risk Management Partnership (SFRMP), the group responsible for co-ordinating the implementation of any actions required as a result of the Floods and Water Management Act 2010 and the Flood Risk Regulations 2009.

Need to Report A Flood?
Suffolk County Council has a new flood reporting tool? Reporting a flood can seem complicated if you don't know which organisation is responsible but our new flood reporting tool is here to help! It makes it easy to find out who you need to report the flood to (which depends on what type of flooding is occurring). You can find the flood reporting tool on the SCC website:Flood Reporting Form
Flood Identity has been developed by the Environment Agency and is available for individuals, communities, groups and organisations to use. It can be used to create a consistent look and feel to flood information regardless of which organisation or group it comes from. It contains logos, guidelines and templates for you to use. Available templates include posters, leaflets, stickers, email signatures, presentation slides, and event invites. All the materials are stored on the Environment Agency's online asset store - Brand Bank.

Insurance for those living in flood areas can be difficult to obtain & expensive. Flood Re is a joint Government and insurance industry initiative to enable you to find affordable insurance for qualifying properties that are at risk of flooding or have been flooded.
