Community Emergency Planning

Community Emergency Planning in Suffolk is about communities understanding their local risks and being better prepared to respond to any major emergencies. 

During a major emergency, many agencies (e.g. emergency services, your local authority) will be involved in the initial response. Community Emergency Planning enables local communities to be engaged in that response (where appropriate and safe to do so) and in the subsequent recovery stages.

It harnesses your local knowledge, resources and networks to feed into the Local Authority (Council) responses to build an accurate understanding of local needs, priorities and any support required.
